Princess Party Theme
Ages: 3 to 10
Invitations:
Get paper that looks like parchment. Write the party information
on it or use a computer to print the information on the paper in a
fancy font. Roll the invitations and use a monogram sticker to
keep it shut. Tie it with a ribbon in your child’s favorite color.

paper and a computer printer.
Decoration Ideas
Decorate with lots of streamers, pictures of your child’s favorite
princesses and balloons. Put out princess related toys like
figurines, wands, crowns, etc. Put flowers and glitter on tables
in the party area. If you want to add more decorations use a box
to make a “castle”. You can paint it and add smaller boxes as
towers. This makes a great place to take pictures of the party
guests.
Craft Ideas
If you have an older group of kids attending the
party, provide them with the items needed to make their own beaded
necklaces and bracelets.
If the group is younger, provide them with blank
paper crowns, glitter, markers and glue so that they can decorate
them.
Game Ideas
Get out dress up items, and let the party goers
dress up. Check dollar and discount stores for clip in hair bows,
clip on earrings, feather boas, necklaces and other fun items. If
you have a large group you may want to divide them into two groups
and have one group watch a princess movie while the other group
gets dressed up, then switch.
Modify favorite party games to reflect the princess
theme. You could have a piñata that is a dragon and they need to
slay the dragon. Play pin the crown on the princess, musical chairs
(and play music from princess movies), or play charades where all
the items are from favorite princess movies.
Another fun game is the wishing well game. Make a
box look like a wishing well. Then have the children line up at a
certain distance from it and try to get their pennies in the well.
Food
Ideas
A sheet cake can easily be made to look like a castle by putting a
cupcake at each corner. Frost the cake, then put waffle cones
upside down on each cupcake to make towers. Decorate the rest of
the cake with a door, windows and flowers. Offer cookies shaped
like stars and crowns. Have fruit kabobs and punch.
