First Birthday Party Themes
First birthday is a very special day indeed. And although it is
not necessary to have a themed birthday party, it is always fun to
have one. After all, there are other children invited who look
forward to a themed party and the birthday baby himself/herself
will like to look back with photos and videos how their first
birthday was celebrated.
Most themes are generic in nature and simplified for the baby to
take in, but you know your baby best - if the baby likes a
particular character, there is no reason why you should not throw
a character-themed party. My baby took a liking to 'Fifi and the
Flowertots' and she yelled out the name 'Fifi' as she saw the
themed birthday decorations. It made her happy and we were glad to
have chosen the theme.
Classic Winnie The Pooh Party
- Most babies have pooh themed nursery's or a little pooh huggable
toy and start recognizing it. Also, yellow happens to be their
favorite color. So, everything is in favor of a Pooh party.
Farm Party - Animal motifs are
everywhere around the baby and their sounds are the first ones the
baby learns to distinguish. A farm party will ensure a fun time
for the little one.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Theme -
Mickey Mouse is another beloved character and with the recent
flooding of the market with 'Disney Baby' products, most babies
have something with the baby Mickey or baby Minnie on them.
Cupcake/Cupcake Cutie Party - A perfect to celebrate a little one is a cupcake
party. Babies will love cupcakes and will have fun squishing the
cream in the mouth. You can also make your own
DIY Cupcake Party Invitations.
Fairy/Enchanted Garden Theme Party
- While most babies may not understand a fairy party, they will
nonetheless enjoy looking at their photos later. Parents love to
see their tiny little bundles of joy dressed up as a fairy
princess and this makes for a very popular first birthday party
theme.
Ladybug Theme Party - Dress up a
baby as a ladybug (complete with the antennae) and see them hop
around your garden. A ladybird party perfectly suits a first
birthday celebration.
Barnyard Themed Party - The
most easily recognizable images for the baby come together in a
cutesy barnyard theme party.
Sesame Street Party - Elmo
and Ernie quickly become favorites with kids. Even one year olds
can recognize them and have fun seeing them at their first
birthday party.
Teletubbies Themed Birthday
Party - The cuddly red, yellow, purple and green characters
are a hit with smaller children and their colors make them perfect
for a first birthday party celebration.
Polka Dot Theme Birthday Party
- Bright and cheerful polka dots all over will bring smiles to all
the little guests attending this party.
You will find many ready-to-buy
1st Birthday Party Supplies
that you can build a theme around. Instead of a theme, you could
only use a color scheme like pinks or blues or the overlooked, but
most favorite with kids - yellow, for the party.
