Casino Birthday Party Theme
Ages: Grown Ups/Adults
Invitations:
There
are lots of fun items you can use in invitations for this theme.
On a blank white card you could add a couple of playing cards to
the front and write “Join us for a Casino Night”. You could do the
same thing with a couple of poker chips or a picture of a pair of
dice. Encourage guests to come in nice attire.
Another very easy yet stylish invite to make is our
Dice Casino
Invitation shown at the right.
Decorations
You will need to have tables for playing casino games. Get fun
casino theme table cloths to put on them. Hang fake money, playing
cards and streamers from the ceiling. Download slot machine sounds
and put them on a CD to play. Give your casino a name and make a
big sign to hang over the door. Turn down the lights and add
twinkling white string lights along the walls by the floor and
ceiling. Bring in a couple of love seats and create a lounge area.
Make the food table look like a bar.
Games and Activities:
Set up different areas for poker, bingo. craps, roulette and any
other casino type game you would like to play. Give each guest
fake money as they arrive. If you don’t have dealers for the party
encourage guests to take turns as dealers by offering them more
fake money. Offer small gift basket prizes that guests can turn in
their chips for.
An auction is also a fun activity for a casino themed party. Any
team game would also work well just add wagers. For example you
could play charades and guests could use their fake money to bet
on the winner.
Food Ideas:
Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres are perfect for a casino style party.
Make labels with the name of your “casino” and put them on water
and drink bottles. Swedish meatballs, artichoke dip, salsa and
chips, wings, small cakes, and any other item that can be put on a
toothpick are perfect for this theme. Be sure to offer plenty of
non-alcoholic drinks like Shirley Temples and Roy Rogers.
