Bubble Party for 3-4 year Olds
Ages: 3 to 4
For a 3-4 year old bubbles are one of the most wonderful things,
so why not throw a birthday party with bubbles as the theme?
Invitation Ideas:
Attach a piece of paper with the information for the party to a
small bottle of bubbles with a ribbon and hand deliver them to
guests. Another option is to get bubble wands and attach them to
an invitation.
Games and Activities:
You will want to have this party outside, because bubbles tend to
leave things a little sticky. You may also want to enlist the help
of a few adults to monitor the different areas. Create different
stations for the kids to explore and play with bubbles. Here are a
few ideas:
• Fill a small wading pool with bubble solution and put a hoola
hoop in it. The kids will be able to create giant bubble with
this.
• Put down a plastic tarp and spray it with water, so that there
is a little bit of standing water. Let the kids blow bubbles onto
the tarp and be amazed by the fact that the bubbles don’t pop when
they hit the ground.
• Get big packing bubble sheets, that the kids can stomp on and
pop.
• Have a bubble gum blowing contest.
• Hang a large sheet of butcher’s paper on a clothesline and add a
few drops of food coloring or tempera paint in different colors to
bubbles. The kids can blow the bubbles onto the paper and when
they pop they leave paint behind.
• Pour bubbles into wide dishes with lips and give the kids all
sorts of items to use as bubble blowers such as, rubber bands,
funnels, paper cups with the bottoms cut out, string, pipe
cleaners, straws, slotted spoons, cardboard tubes.
• Have resealable bags filled with styling gel and about a half
teaspoon of glitter. Put packing tape over the top of the bag so
the kids can’t open it. Make sure that some air is still inside
the bag. Let the kids squish the bag and watch the bubbles and
glitter move around.
Craft:
Use craft wire to form a bubble wand. Put out beads for the kids
and let them string them onto the handle part of the wand. When
they are done bend up the ends of the wire so that the beads stay
put, and each kid will have their own personalized wand.
Food Ideas:
Bubble Bread
These are fun little treats that kids will love. The centers are
hollow (like a bubble).
You will need:
Canned biscuits
Sugar and cinnamon mixed together
Large Marshmallows
Wrap the biscuit around the marshmallow and then roll it in the
sugar and cinnamon. Place on a sprayed cookie sheet and bake at
400 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Other ideas are to put dry ice in the punch so that it will
bubble. Just be sure to keep the kids a good distance from it.
Serve your child’s other favorite foods.
