the mood for a ladybird or garden themed party for a toddler with these
creative little bugs that flap their wings!

What you will need:
-
Red cardstock
-
Black Cardstock
-
Black Paper
-
Large Red Eyelet
-
Eyelet Setting Tool (optional but preferred for neatness)
-
White paper
-
Circle Punch
-
Hole punch
1. Draw two large circles on the wrong side of the red cardstock
and cut them out using scissors or a craft knife. You can draw the
circle using any household object - a large cup or a small plate
perhaps?
2. Cut one of the circles into two equal halves.
3. Cut two semi-circles from white paper measuring slightly less
than the red cardstock halves to write the party invitation on.
You can also print out the invitation using a computer and printer
and write it so that it fits inside the semi-circles.
4. Glue the white paper halves (with the party information on
them) on the two sides of the full cardstock circle.

5. Place the cardstock semi-circles to co-ordinate with the circle
and punch a hole at the top and set the eyelet. The eyelet will
let the semi-circle 'wings' move to reveal the information glued
below them.
6. Cut out a smaller circle from the black cardstock for the head
and glue the lower part of it to the back of the red circle as
shown.
7. Punch out black circles for the ladybug's dots and two white
hole punch-outs for the eyes.
8. Use thin strips from the red cardstock trimmings to make the
antennae.
