Birthday Gift Ideas for 2 year old
A fun loving toddler loves to receive gifts. They might seem more
interested in the wrapping paper than the gifts during the party
but they will soon show interest in each and every gift they
receive once the party is over. Here are some ideas for 2 year
olds:
1. Playdoh - Playdoh is every child's favorite activity.
Although the child is more likely to dry up all his/her dough at
this age, he is sure to have fun and this will be a learning stage
for future clay modeling play time.
2. Shape Sorting Toys - 2 year olds have very active minds
and need constant challenges. They love games like shape sorting
and will be truly happy to get a toy like that.
3. Books - Picture books are the best gifts for a toddler
and will instill in them a love for reading early in life.
4. Pretend Play - A 'Doctor Set' or a 'Kitchen Set' will
engage the toddler for quite some time. But do remember, no toys
for '3 years and older yet'.
5. Sand and Water Tables - Give the little child an
opportunity to make a mess and have loads of fun. Gift them a sand
or a water table and you will give them a best friend.
6. Bowling Pins: Slow and steady, toddlers get their acts
right. Introduce them to the fun part of sports by gifting them a
set of bowling pins and balls.
7. Vehicles: Boys and girls alike will be glad to get a new
car or add to their existing ones a truck or a bus.
8. Wooden Toys: Large wooden toys with softened edges are a
toddler's playmate for they won't break to pieces after misuse.
Wooden beads and string, shape sorting hammer, post box, color
matching games, peg puzzles etc. make perfect gifts.
9. Magnetic Toys: Magnetic farm animals or dolls make
wonderful gifts for toddlers. Gift them a set from LeapPad or any
other renowned brand who put a lot of research into their toys and
make toys that prove beneficial to the little minds.
10. Inflatables: Inflatable chairs, mini pools, ball
courts, punch pals etc. are adored by all toddlers and last for
quite some time.
11. Talking Pals: Whether it is a step-stool that talks to
the child or a special doll that reminds the child to brush their
teeth, talking pals are a toddler's best friend at this stage.
