Enchanted/Fairy Garden Theme Decorating Ideas
If the party is being held outdoors in a green area, you will
suffice with only a few decorations. But if you need to transform
a non-garden area into a Fairy Garden, you need to think
creatively. Use our ideas to transform the place into an enchanted
garden.
We restricted our color palette to just 2 colors - pink and green.
We started by buying loads of green mosquito netting cloth (any
other transparent cloth will do just fine). Out of the cloth, were
formed curtains for the entrance. Paper leaves and flowers formed
the valance and flowers formed by tying together the ends of 4
pink balloons and a small green balloon in the center decorated
the corners. The same flowers also decorated every other empty are
- walls, columns, tables etc.

The same green netting cloth was tied to a chandelier and
stretched to 4 poles (with their bases tied to balloon weights or
immersed deep in pots filled with stones. The 'tent' was decorated
inside and out with paper leaves and pink tissue flowers. The
inside of the tent also had lots of streamers hanging from the
cloth through invisible florist wire.

The tent became the main area for all the little fairies and elves
to play inside and provided a gorgeous backdrop for all photos. It
was filled with many, many balloons and the ground was covered
with two pink plastic tablecloths.
A quick toadstool was fashioned out of 5 pieces of spare wood and
covered with red and white washable sofa fabric (remnants found at
an upholsterer's). The birthday girl posed beautifully on the
toadstool and so did every guest - dressed in their wings and
wands which formed a part of their party favors. All the little
guests took turns getting their photos clicked on this toadstool
which were later mailed to them along with a thank you note on the
backside.
Oh, and the birthday girl still has her toadstool!
